How to Use
Take BuSpar exactly as prescribed. Do not be discouraged if you feel no immediate effect. The full benefit of this drug may not be seen for 1 to 2 weeks after you start to take it.

Drug Interactions
Because the effects of concomitant administration of buspirone with most other psychotropic drugs have not been studied, the concomitant use of buspirone with other CNS active drugs should be approach
ed with caution.

Precautions
The safety of buspirone during pregnancy and lactation has not been established and, therefore, it should not be used in women of childbearing potential or nursing mothers, unless, in the opinion of t
he physician, the potential benefits to the patient outweigh the possible hazards to the fetus. Buspirone and its metabolites are excreted in milk in rats. The extent of excretion in human milk has no
t yet been determined.

What side effects may occur?
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your
doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur: Chest pain; confusion; fast or pounding heartbeat; fever; incoordination; mental depression; muscle weakness; num
bness, tingling, pain, or weakness in hands or feet; skin rash or hives; stiffness of arms or legs; sore throat; uncontrolled movements of the body

DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE :
When you are taking buspirone, it is especially important that your health care professional know if you are taking any of the following: - Erythromycin (e.g., ERYC, E.E.S.) or - Itraco
nazole (e.g., Sporanox)¡XHigher blood levels of buspirone may occur, increasing the chance of side effects. Your doctor may change the dose of buspirone that you take - Monoamine oxidase (MAO) i
