Before Using This Medicine
VANIQA can be used on all skin types and is for women who are bothered by unwanted hair around the lips and under the chin. It should not be used if you are less than 12 years old. Ask your doctor if
VANIQA is right for you. If you are pregnant or plan to to become pregnant, discuss with your doctor whether you should use VANIQA (eflornithine HCl) Cream, 13.9% during pregnancy. No clinical studies
have been performed in pregnant women. If you are breast feeding, consult your doctor before using VANIQA. It is not known if VANIQA is passed to infants through breast milk.

Side Effects of This Medicine
Side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, check with your doctor if any of the f
ollowing side effects continue or are bothersome.
- Acne; stinging skin
- Burning or bleeding skin; chapped, red lips; chronic acne; hair bumps; numbness; rash; reddening of
skin; swelling of lips ; tingling skin

How to Use
Overdosage information with VANIQA is unavailable. Given the low percutaneous penetration of this drug, overdosage via the topical route is not expected (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY ). However, should v
ery high topical doses (e.g., multiple tubes per day) or oral ingestion be encountered (a 30 g tube contains 4.2 g of eflornithine hydrochloride), the patient should be monitored, and appropriate supp
ortive measures administered as necessary.

Possible food and drug interactions
Although there is no drug interaction known for Vaniqa, you had better inform your doctor of all medications and facial products you are using before you begin Vaniqa treatments.

Cautions
In case condition gets worse while you use the medicine, stop the medicine and contact your doctor.
If skin irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of treatments. If irritation cont
inues, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor.
If no improvement is seen after six months of treatment, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor.

Description
Vaniqa is the only prescription that has been scientifically proven to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair. This allows women to spend less time in hair removal. It does not remove existing facial
hair. Using fragrance-free Vaniqa two times a day will not eliminate your need for a regular hair removal technique, but does limit hair growth. Use externally only.
