In addition, Zoloft is used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder--symptoms of which include unwanted thoughts that won't go away and an irresistible urge to keep repeating certain actions
, such as hand-washing or counting. It is also prescribed for the treatment of panic disorder (unexpected attacks of overwhelming anxiety, accompanied by fear of their return), and for posttraumatic s
tress disorder (re-experiencing a dangerous or life-threatening event through intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and intense psychological distress).

Proper Use of This Medicine
Zoloft concentrate must be diluted before use. Immediately before taking it, use the provided dropper to remove the amount of concentrate your doctor has directed you to take. Mix the concentrate with
4 ounces (1/2 cup) of water, ginger ale, lemon or lime soda, lemonade, or orange juice. Drink immediately. Do not mix the concentrate with any liquids other than the ones listed.

Adverse Effects
Psychiatric Disorders: - Infrequent: Abnormal dreams, aggressive reaction, amnesia, apathy, delusion, depersonalization, depression, aggravated depression, emotional lability, euphoria, hallucination,
neurosis, paranoid reaction, suicide attempt (including suicidal ideation), teeth-grinding, abnormal thinking. Rare: Hysteria, somnambulism withdrawal syndrome.

Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:
- Brain disease or damage or
- Mental retardation or
